I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Paul Jacob, his PA, Randall Pape, and Community Hospital North. Dr. Jacob did a full hip replacement for me in November 2018 and while I knew it was an easier recovery than knee replacement, I was unprepared for how easy and almost pain-free it was. I then had Dr. Jacob perform a total knee replacement in November 2019 and was again in disbelief at how fast my recovery was. I will not tell you there was no pain but it was minimal compared to my previous knee replacement and to what others were expressing after knee replacements with other doctors. I was off of my pain meds after one week and walking with no assistance after two weeks. Amazing!! I would encourage anyone who is contemplating a hip or knee replacement to use Dr. Jacob. You might have to wait to get in to see him but it will be well worth your time.

I had endured knee pain for years, had two previous arthroscopic surgery with different surgeons, and had run out of options other than total knee replacement. Dr Jacob had performed a partial knee replacement on my other knee a few years back and I was very happy with the outcome. However, I was not looking forward to a total knee replacement and kept putting it off. I wish I didn't . A big thank you to Dr Jacob and his surgical team. Had the surgery end of March and by Jun was vacationing, walking up and down hillsides, pain free. Thank you again

Dr. Jacob and his team have been an answer to prayer. Had total hip replacement on May 9 and July 10 (both hips). The difference it has made to my life is amazing. Dr. Jacob is a genius with a heart and a God-given talent for what he does. The surgery and healing were far easier than I imagined. Certainly easier than living in pain. Randy, Kristy, the pre and post-surgery and surgery teams, the hospital nurses, I just can't say enough nice things about them all. Home PT with Progressive Health made my recovery swift and sure. I am 6 weeks post-op on my last hip and I am back at the gym walking laps and back to my usual daily routine with the exception of prescribed hip precautions for another 6 weeks. That's a long way for a woman who couldn't even walk up the block without extreme pain a few months ago. I can't thank Dr. Jacob enough for giving me back my life.

Two knee replacements, February 2018 and November 2018. Absolutely thrilled with the process and the results. My mobility is unrestricted in every way and there is no more pain. Not only is Dr. Jacob a genius, he has surrounded himself with an incredible team, in the office and in the hospital. His pain management program was very beneficial to me because it allowed my rehab to progress effectively and better than expected. I am 67 years old and these replacements have allowed me to maintain a very active lifestyle - golf, hiking, swimming, bicycling and daily walks! I will be an ambassador for Dr. Jacob for as long as he continues to improve the quality of people's lives.

Hip replacement went amazingly smooth. A year after the procedure I am doing everything I was doing before; gardening, hiking and in general just living without that awful debilitating hip pain! Dr Jacobs is excellent.

I had run out of time and options and desperately needed to have my hip replaced but at the age of 42, there is a lot at stake. Dr. Jacob and his team are phenomenal. WOW Dr. Jacob is a rock star in the OR and out!! He is truly gifted in what he does! The staff as well have been wonderful and caring. I never felt rushed or confused about what was going to happen. My pain has been kept under control. The hospital was amazing to let my husband stay all night with me and he even ate the same meals I ate. Everyone is so wonderful. The absolute best of the best! I am a week out of surgery and I am better then I ever have been with my other surgeries by leaps and bounds! if I didn't know better, I wouldn't think I had a total knee revision last week!! Yes I have pain but in comparison to my previous other surgeries it's nothing! Dr Jacob is amazing at what he does! WOW! Dr. Jacob has changed my life, literally. I've always been an active person, work hard, play hard. I discovered when I retired a year ago that my knees were really bad. My activity level was 0. This was my best doctor/patient relationship ever! Dr. Jacob is so great at explaining every little detail so nothing was a surprise to me. He really listened to my concerns from a surgery I had with another doc and addressed them all. He was quick to respond via email. He showed great kindness in the hospital before and after surgery. Under Dr. Jacob's excellent care, all I can say is that you are never too old to have a total hip replacement! My mother's was done in 2016 at the age of 89 and she has no regrets. Following physical therapy religiously, the entire process from operation to walking without a walker or cane was only 7 weeks. With a previous hip replacement on her other hip 10 years ago, she was left with a leg-length difference of 1/4 inch. In surgery, Dr. Jacob was able to even out her legs. It is truly a gift not to rely on lifts and inserts for her shoes anymore. Without a doubt, Dr. Jacob is outstanding and, thanks to him, she has quality of life and can walk without pain! One final note, please, Dr. Jacob, take that horrible photograph down from your website! You are much better looking in real life!

Dr. Jacobs explained my knee issues. Answered my concerns. But most of all, he was up front on the expectations, and prepared me as to what to expect. I have now had both knees done. His physical therapist, Jennifer, is an extension of his top quality of care.

I'm now six weeks post op and walking with barely a limp.

Dr. Jacob and his staff were awesome! He spoke in laymen's terms and spent as much time visiting with me regarding my diagnosis, the procedure and the final outcome as I needed to feel comfortable. He listened to my concerns regarding how anesthesia has made me sick in the past and did everything in his power to minimize those problems. He was actually the first doctor who took this serious. He was also always accessible to me even over the holiday season. Many days during my recovery he took time to call me directly and check on my progress. I could not have asked for better surgeon. I was in extreme pain for years, but Dr. Jacob explained my options in a fashion that made me feel informed. I had a total knee replacement and I have had a great experience with Dr. Jacob. He took time to talk with me at each appointment and he made sure I knew what to expect following my surgery. I have worked hard in therapy, but I feel certain that Dr. Jacob's skill in surgery has given me the greatest opportunity for a fully functioning knee. My total knee replacement was only 3 months ago and I am already mowing the lawn and walking up and down stairs without having to take them one step at a time. I feel certain that with continued exercise, my knee will continue to improve. I am looking forward to doing sports and activities I haven't been able to do for years. Thank you, Dr. Jacob. I am only 54 and I wasn't ready to give up so many of the things I love. Now, I don't have to.

Great doctor and staff hade 2 total knee repacment done 90 days apart . Back to work with very little pain. i was bone on bone for 40 years and bow legged. My legs are strait now and feel great . Ready for 40 more years

It has been a real joy and comfort to have Dr. Jacob as my surgeon.

Dr. Jacob is great. He is personable, compassionate and easy to talk with. I love that he takes time to talk the medical issues through so that I understand. He has explained everything to make the questions I have answered in a way I fully understand. He is so easy to be around, the best thing I know about him is that he makes me feel safe.

Dr. Jacob and his team are most importantly, very good at what they do. Secondarily, they have consistently treated me with respect and patience.

Dr. Jacob is the greatest Surgeon and I am so thankful I found him for total hip replacement surgery. He diagosnsed me immediately, and scheduled me for surgery right away. I went from frightened and horrified to relaxed and confident thanks to Dr. Jacob. He answered all my questions patiently, sent me to a fabulous pre-surgery class to learn about what to expect during and after surgery, and made me laugh along the way. Dr. Jacob, his staff, and colleagues(pretty much every dr we have worked with @ OSSO)have all been amazing! My mom has never had such great care! He and his staff have always been very prompt in returning phone calls, making sure prescriptions are taken care of, communicating with other doctors involved in care, and answering questions. They truly put the patient first! I've been so pleased with the care my mom has received, that my husband is making the switch to Dr. Jacob for his ortho needs.

Dr Jacobs is a Fantastic knee surgeon. His vision right after surgery is to have you out of Bed within a few hours and walking.

I recently had my second hip replacement. Dr. Paul Jacob performed my most recent surgery. Dr. Jacob, PA Randy, and all staff are attentive, caring, friendly and most of all very skilled in their care. They stay on top of what is going on in the orthopedic community and use the most effective procedures, prosthetics, etc. My down time has been less with this surgery than my first. I have a total knee replacement in my near future and I undoubtedly will be back to Dr. Jacob.

Dr. Paul Jacob replaced both knees of my sister and Mine as well. My sister was referred to him because of her compromised health and major need for knee replacements and he is known for being able to handle challenging cases. My sister had many medical issues to consider and he kept her safe and completed both without complications. Physician Assistant Kristy O. Is absolutely the best!! She is kind, compassionate, attentive, and very knowledgeable!! The staff is professional, responsive to questions, and very competent. I would highly recommend Dr. Jacob and his whole staff to anyone facing orthopedic surgery!

The entire experience here was great! I expected long wait times since this is a specialist, but we were seen promptly. The radiology staff were quick and efficient and the gentleman taking my x-rays was very nice. We were placed in a room quickly, and then seen very quickly. Scott the PA was very nice, down to earth and didn't make me feel intimidated at all. He explained things very thoroughly, in layman's terms for me to understand better, and answered all of my questions honestly. They made me feel like there is hope in treatment. I was referred to Dr. Jacob in June of 2019. My right hip was in such bad shape that I could literally only walk from 1 room to another, struggling the whole way. My wife had to quit her job to take care of me. Dr. J said my right hip was in such bad shape I needed a hip replacement asap. When we did his evaluation on me he was very informative and I was impressed of the detail he went through. The only thing that was bad news was as soon as possible after the right hip healed, I needed the left one done also!! After surgery, within 5 days I was walking again!!! Did my left hip 11 weeks later and I got my life back! I have had only 27 surgeries, and Dr. Jacob was a huge blessing to me , not only for getting my hips fixed the right way but his encouragement played a huge role in my attitude and my goals through therapy to get my life back on track!! One particular way was he provided much information which was meticulously arranged in a notebook for preoperative then another for postoperative. This has been most helpful! Dr Jacob is the best knee, hip man in town. I have had many surgeries, and by far this was the best experience I've had from start to finish. He has replaced both of my hips, and now I'm pain free. 1 day before my 1st replacement my insurance company denied my surgery, stating I was not old enough for the surgery but Dr. Jacob fought for me. One week after my 2nd hip replacement, I caught Covid (from my daughter). Dr Jacob & his staff went over & beyond to make sure I was taken care of. It is a special thing to find a Dr that has bedside manner & shows he cares about his patients. Anyone looking for a surgeon, he is your guy !!!!

The staff were all friendly, very helpful, and compassionate. My wait time was less than 5 minutes before I was called back. I was taken to x-ray first very quick in and out. Then on for consultation no weight time there. Everything was explained clearly. I was aloud time to ask questions, which were answered. I was given a nice three binder full of helpful information. I was very pleased with my visit. And feel comfortable about my upcoming surgery. Can't wait to get my new knees.

Dr Jacob is an amazing Dr!! Only by God's Divine Intervention and Mark Denney, PA, were we lead to him. The day HPI opened, Dr Jacob performed a hip replacement on our 29 yo son. Few months later, he replaced his other hip. Several years later, our son walks with a beautiful gait...no limp. Five weeks ago, Dr J performed a knee replacement on my hubby. He is up and thriving amazingly. In a few weeks, Dr J will give me a new hip. Few months following that...a new right knee. Few days after my hip replacement, my bro-in-law is also having his hip replaced by Dr J. As you can see, we have confidence in this physician and are assured the Great Physician directs his hands. I went to see Dr Jacob last year. I had had a prior TKR surgery that went horrible by a different dr. I developed a severe infection and Dr Jacob and his team took me in their care and cleared up the infection with a two stage knee replacement surgery. Just had my last surgery 4 weeks ago and I’m doing fantastic thanks to Dr Jacob and his entire team. You guys are top notch and the best at what you do. First visit for 3rd opinion. First recommended gel-1 injection without positive results. 2nd recommended total knee replacement. Randy recommended trying steroid injection again since they gave me good results in the past. I did and feel so much better after just a couple of hours after procedure. Thanks Randy.
